Who has LE3?

My le3 head and cam package is coming in soon and i just can't wait.

Who has the le3 and what kind of results did you get on your dyno or track results. I did try searching but found le1 and le2 results.

If everything goes as planned, I'll be putting my LE3 heads on next weekend. Should have dyno results shortly thereafter.

Blitz,

Did you get the full LE3 heads and cam kit and are you putting that on a stock bottom end?

No we are doing all forged 383 kit (11.8 to 1), LT's, comp cams pro mag nsa 1.6 roller rockers, Le ported intake, comp cams 7.150'' pushrods, Gm extreme duty timing set, and Melling oil pump. I havent ordered the lifters and clutch yet becuase im still deciding which one to go with. I've ordered all these parts...im just waiting for them to all come in just like my le3 head and cam package.

Bret,
Just out of curiosity, why are you assking? Will this not work on a stock bottom end? I was thinking about it later on.

Thanks

You just want to check PTV clearance and make sure the cam is installed correctly. Lloyd and I have setup that package with some heafty springs to prevent valve float and bounce but you gotta make sure that the cam is installed correctly so the valves and pistons don't touch. It's much closer than most cam/head setups but is still in spec.

Most people unless they are going to build a 11.5-12:1 355 don't need a LE3 cam a LE2 package would work very well.
