LE2 Daily Driver????

I'm having a hard time deciding if i should go LE1 or LE2. I've talked with lloyd quite a bit about it through emails, (by the way hes a super guy to deal with, always answerd me within a matter of hours), but I'm still having a hard time deciding.

THe car will not actually be a DAILY driver but it will be on the road quite a bit still, more of a sunny day driver.

Guys that have the LE2 kit, would you say it has good driving maners?

Also i do occassionaly run an Auto-X or two.....will it have enough vaccuum and whatnot to keep the brakes nice and strong?

And last but not least will the more aggressive cam on the LE2 be more prone to reliability issues? I will be going with all supporting mods, (timing chain, lifters, rockers, etc)

Joe.

Yeah sorry, should have provided more info. Car is a 95 M6 Z28. Has 3.73 gears, Spec stage III clutch, and most bolt ons.

i drive mine to school EVERY day, and out to car shows and parties on the weekend, you will spend some time getting everything right in the beginning so be ready for that. I did a vacuum test and it pulls about 13-15 lbs at idle

Re: LE2 Daily Driver????

With 3.73's and a M6 you will be fine on a LE2 package, just have some good tuning done and it will be great.

97s10ondubs, 13-14" of vacuum is better than I thought it would do and I designed the cam for it! Thanks for that I like to hear things like that.

Re: LE2 Daily Driver????

Jeff Creech at CAM in Durham NC will be doing my tuning, so I'm sure that will be dead on.

So I wont be more likely to spin a cam bearing or something of that nature with the more aggressive cam?

Thanks again guys, Joe.

PS Bret i couldnt agree more with that quote in your sig about buying random parts.

Whats up Joe! Go with the LE2!!! Might as well do that, rather than do the LE1 and want to go bigger later. I don't really think cam size affects the chances of spinning a bearing, I could b ewrong, but I spun a rod bearing, so my cam bearings are fine haha. Good excuse for a bottom end! My car drives great for having a cam that size, by the way.I was really surprised, most of that is Jeff tuning it though. He's the heat, and building me a 383 to boot!

Im still with stock gears and its fine, yea im still trying to get it to run correctly though. I was doing a vacuum check to see if there were any leaks. I cant seem to get it to make the power it should.

Well 3.42's would be ok but on the low end.
