whats a good a/f for NA?
whats a good a/f for NA?
I got my car dynoed, and I was happy with the numbers considering i haev nothing done to the car but an intake and cutout...
it was 251rwhp and 284rwtq
but the car was at 11-11.8 so thats rich, i thought it should be at 12.5, but my friend told me 12.5 is for boost/spray and optimum for NA car is around 14...
so whats optimum? 14 sound good?
with that much diff, u think i'll pass 270rwhp and 300rwtq easy

You want 14.7:1 at part load/closed loop. The PCM takes care of that, and you can't really change it.
At WOT, you want the mixture that produces the best torque and HP, and that is GENERALLY in the range of 12.8 - 13.2:1. But I've seen people claim they got the best reaults anywhere from 12.5 - 13.5:1.
The stock tuning generally produces a "target" A/F ratio in the range of 11.7:1, which is too rich.
