This thread is disheartening. I get between 14-15 City. Last all highway trip I took was pre-converter and got 18,19 and 20mpg on the 3 tanks needed for the trip. Seems I'm a bit on the low end, people on here with cams, 3.73 and converters are getting 17. I just filled up today...14.9 and thats with little to no foot into it around town. Anyone got any ideas? If I'm only getting 14-15 now I can only imagine what it will be at after the CC503 goes in in a few short weeks.

Last time I checked I got 23 mpg. A mix of city and highway.

I just took a road trip to Orlando and averaged a little better than 26mpg for pure highway driving setting my cruise between 70 and 75mph.

With my short trips here in Rock Hill, I'll sometimes get as little as 15mpg in pure city driving, but if those are the only trips I'm making, a tank will last more than a month, so it really doesn't bother me...

alright, all i gotta say is that this is a complete lie. i have a '97 Firebird Formula, 5.7 LT1. yes, i have just recently upgraded from a '95 3.4 camaro conv.

i have long headers, dont know the maker

upgraded back and front suspension with coil springs in the front, the back have only shocks.

straight pipes all the way through, i'm going to get myself a full exhaust system soon, my torque is suffering baaaad.

i get between 15-19 mps depending on how i feel like driving my car, and thats just city. i have yet to drive it on the highway. but yeah.

i just bought my car, i looked at my suspension, and i have no idea...but i'm probably gonna switch them out because the drivers side/rear one is shot.

With short trips in my crowded city i get about 9-10mpg. I can see it sucking loads of gas while it's cold.

Outside city it's more in the 20-23 range, I can't say I've really seen it EVER go past 24mpg driving 70mph on cruise the whole way, but then again i've always had some problems with it. I'll get a better reading next time.

SLP hood intake with holley filter, pacesetter LTs, madz28 tune, 245/50R16 tires, 3.73 gears M6.

The tune actually lowers city mpg but helps loads when going drag racing, as you don't always start with the engine overheated.

Lets see... last time I had the car out it was getting about 11-13mpg in the city and 16-18(at very best) on the highway.

pacesetter lts, strange 3.73s, moroso CAI, edge 3400 stall

i get about 16/17 in city if i keep my foot out of it. around 22 or so on the highway because of the gears. with the 2.73's i'd get like 24-26 if I cruised around 55/60 mph.

Id say your better off going with an LS1 model.
Way better gas mileage than LT1.
And you can do way more stuff with an ls series.

and i get anywhere from 10-19 city.
depending on how agressive i am driving it
