Re: What should I do next?

Ok heres my plan. Cc503 cam for sure. I plan to buy some scorpion SA 3/8 rockers.
Do I need hardend pushrods still even with no guideplates and SA rockers? Anyone know what length pushrod with ls7 lifters? Or should I just get a measuring tool. Or are my stock rods fine.

Also, my engine only has 100k miles. Maybe i can get away with my stock lifters and pushrods?

Re: What should I do next?

I went to the track and got a new time.
Old 60ft 2.36. New 2.149
Old 330ft 6.5 New 6.174
Old 1/8 9.85 New 9.46
Old MPH 74.58 New 73.64

So I guess the torque converter did something maybe. I did decrease my tire psi to 25lbs though.

Things that changed since the old track times. Torque converter cutout fuel pump and FPR

Not knocking your car, but something is still wrong with the performance.
9.46 x 1.555 equals 14.71. I had a bone stock 95 formula automatic that ran
14.10 at 98 mph at Atlanta dragway. I put a Borla 2 3/4" y pipe on minus the cat and went 13.94 at 100.5 mph. This car had the factory 3.23 gears. If not mistakened its been a few years I ran 79 mph in the 1/8 and 8.9 sec.
This car also dynoed 281 rwhp with the borla y pipe.

Maybe you need to have it dynoed tuned. You should be in the 13's easy with your mods.

It's cool haha, idk what's wrong lol the car feels fine but I guess it's
Not. Maybe the PCM tune it got made it worse. I plan to get a dyno tune after my head/cam swap

Did you spin the tires on the launch, You should be in the 1.7x for the 60'.
You need to data log the car.

I don't think I spun the tires at all.. My car is just dumb gawd... I'll get a dyno tune when I swap my heads and cam. I'm gonna run my GFs stock 94z28 in the 1/8 and see how hers performs.

Re: What should I do next?

My car's SES light is starting to come on while I cruise at about 35-45mph and will turn off maybe 3 mins later. Its done it on 3 drives so far, seems like only when im cruising. I took a spark plug out and the tip is white. Im thinking about buying a scanning cable and using a laptop to scan it. What program would I use?

Re: What should I do next?

Still sounds like your down on power for your combo, Injuneer give you some good advice. Before I did any mods I would invest in a good code scanner that will data log and read real time. For instance, what if the knock sensor is picking up false knock and killing your timing , If you can't data log or read real time you hav no way of knowing (it would'nt throw a code and will kill your times). Just a thought!

Re: What should I do next?

I'm looking at getting it scanned/ data logged. I have a friend that may let me borrow his cable. If not I'll buy one.

Are you referring to the DataMaster link, or someone elses post. Works fine for me. Someone else let me know if they are also having problems. Been posting this same link for about 10 years.

Worked fine for me.

As for the timing and knock mentioned before, that is a serious possibility. My car was pulling knock recently and made it very sluggish. Consider using freescan to see what the knock and degree of timing retard is. Anything over 1* is probably a bad thing, I was pulling around 10~12* and it was horrible.

My car bone stock ran a best of 14.02 at 99 mph.
