What PSI do you run street tires at, at the track, I'm talking about with no major weight reduction either, with typical track conditions.

If I remember right I was doing about 16-19 psi on some cheesy Pep Boys Futura's. At that psi was about the best hook I could get on street tires, definatly recommend slicks, or at least DR's.

I ran 24# in my Nitto Drag Radial...which pulled a 1.90 60 FT. I run 16# in my M/T ET Streets...which pull a 1.73 60 FT.

Yeah I got those futuras on mine, they were on the car when I bought it, last time I went to the track it was like 50 degrees out and with the tires at 36psi and pulled a 2.30, so think i'll put them at like 30psi and with it going to be 89 for a high I think i'll see an improvement. what about the fronts, a little higher than normal?

I ran my best ET (and 60ft) with the tires at 30psi. Regular radials should not be run at less than 25psi, otherwise the tread cups and you get less traction. Only soft sidewall tires should be run at low pressure. (drag radials, ET streets, slicks)
