Question 1LE suspension

Does anybody know if the 1LE suspension setup with the springs and shocks lower the car more than stock?

Thanks

1LE springs tend to raise the car, not lower it.

Aren't the springs on 1LE's launch springs or am I just way off...
Launch springs aren't that expensive cause the manufacturer doesn't have to compress them as much...they're good for...um...launching

Thanks for the replies. I know they are progressive rate, but wasn't sure what they did for stance. I have gfx and am looking for no more than 1/2-1 of drop. And 1" makes me nervous with LT headers and the gfx.

LT's won't hit...your Y-pipe will...

I stand corrected. You are right and they do. Now how about those springs?

You think if I got those and adj shocks I could "tune" the ride in case I scrape too much?

Now that I couldn't tell you...no personal experience with it....anyone else?

I don't think you'll be having to worry about scraping with a 1" drop...not too bad anyways....

Adjustable shocks won't let you adjust ride height unless they are threaded coilovers (like Hal QA1s). Also, the 1LEs are straight rate in the front (360 lb/in) and progressive in the rear (about 130-180 lb/in). If you want adjustable ride height, then you need to get something like coilovers from Ground Control ($400) or Global West ($$$). Do you want to lower your car or improve its handling? If you are looking for better performance, then you can go a long way with better shocks and bars and just leave your ride height/springs alone. I have 1LE springs on my car too keep ground clearance for my LTs (when my car was dropped an inch before I hit both the collectors and the y-pipe!).

Handling is not the problem I just want to try and get some of that wheel well space esp in the rear eliminated. Sound like I need to just leave well enough alone and put the money elsewhere. Between the gfx and exhaust and my driveway it is already a challenge. Thanks everybody.
