Post New track times, how do I improve 60ft???

Went to Bristol Dragway tonight (about 70° and humid!) and got in 9 runs with my new mods. New mods are in my sig.

Best Run:
R/T: .540 60': 2.268 1/4: 14.192@99.57

I was pretty happy with my times, but I feel with the mods I have, I can do better. I need to improve my 60' times the most. I am launching @ 2000 rpm with 30psi in the rear street tires, after doing a small burnout and staging shallow. I shift at about 5000 rpm. I am always spinning out of the hole. I would like the 60ft below 2.0sec. Does anyone have any advice on how to improve my 60' times, preferably besides more mods? Thanks for your advice.

Took the words right off of my keyboard

But ferra, are you running those times with ALL of whats in your sig? You should be trapping a little higher I would guess, but maybe I am wrong!
As for the better 60's, get some practice, or skip that part (sometimes it will NEVER happen on a sh!tty track) and get some drag radials. Then you will be wondering on how to MAKE them spin

Get a cutout on there by the way. You will like it. Kind of feels a tad bit slower off of the line (which can be good with no traction already) but you will pick up a few horses up top
good luck!

Find a nice deserted street somewhere and practice launching. You will be able to feel a good launch. Try getting into the gas a little slower and maybe launching at a slightly lower rpm. You could also buy a g-tech or similar device to practice your short times with.

Ensure your tires make maximum contact with the ground at the pressure you use. Regular street radial tires tend to get a cupped shape, bringing the centre off the ground when they're underinflated. The opposite occurs when they're overinflated (a good thing for the front tires at the track). Inflate your tires to ~35 and lay a little rubber. Read your tracks, looking to see if they're darker in the centre or outside edges. If they're dark in the centre, drop the pressure a little and lay some more rubber. Keep at it until you have a nice even contact patch.

I disagree with the advice to practice on the street. There is so much more traction on a decent track than on any street that "practice" on the street may do more harm than good. If you do it enough you may start to develope habits that you just have to break at the track.

Your shifting at 5000rpms???? If so, you could be missing out on a lot of power. You need to shift at 5500rpms MINIMUM.

Tires and practice, at the track where conditions are designed for racing. You need a good sixty foot but you also need a good reaction time.

Street practice worked for me (not racing, just launch practice up to ~60km/h)- I netted a 2.027 60' on my first ever run at the track on cheap radial tires.
