So far a bad TPS sensor, bad MAP sensor, bad right 02 sensor, a small oil leak, and the ac keeps blowing the fuse.

Bought at 54k now at 63k. Replaced the egr valve, missing at high rpm- think its the opti, wires, o2 sensor. Overall this car has been very dependable for me

Ok first off I have changed ALOT of parts that were not bad, I just upgraded or put in a new piece since I was in there.
Things that have failed:
Water pump
Opti
Transmission, twice.
........ummm, thats really about it.
The motor has 160k on it and still pulls like a *****.
Alternator is original...and the starter was still working when I pulled it just a couple weeks ago to put in an LT4 starter.
Transmission has given me the most problems by far.
I finally bought a Rossler TH400 just so I won,t have to mess with it for a long time.

As far as the LT1 goes, it had a blown head gasket when I bought it, then the starter crapped and took out the battery cable, then the dreaded rear intake leak, then the IAC motor froze, 2 ignition switches in the past 6 months, and recently it started blowing a lot of smoke out the valve covers so I think its about done.
As for the rest of the car, not many probs. The tranny mount broke, the reverse shift fork guides broke, the bose cd player plays when it wants to, and both damn window motors are fried.
Oh yeah and the wiper motor is on its way out.
Any other problems with the car were caused by my own stupidity.

Man you guys have had to replace a lot. On my 95 firehawk the only parts that went bad have been 2 headlight motors both drivers side (finally went with metal gears), battery died after 10 years , and one of my bump stops dryrotted but the other is in like new condition go figure? By the way the car has 31K miles and i have had it for 9 years.

My LT1 in a '96 Z28
Bought it in Oct of '04 for $5500.00
93,000 miles and pretty clean inside and out.
Started picking off the things it needed, brakes, tires, fluid changes, etc.
Without warning it got hot on the expressway, took about 20 seconds
to pull over. Popped a head gasket. bummer. Then it was June
in Phoenix, as in 110 degrees and hotter. This was June of '05
Yep, I've owned the car for 1 1/2 years and making payments. Got to
drive it for about 7 months.
I'm checking into a rebuild from Jaspers so I can drive it again.
Oh, and about 7 months ago I got my *** ran over by a car while
riding my Kawasaki to work. Sucks to be me.
Not really. My bike is as good as new and soon I hope to be driving
my Z again too. Kinda tough to get a motor while making car payments.

A update on my leaky 97 ssZ-28 , had five leaks! Rear main, timing chain cover, opti and water pump had oil leaking from were they mount to the engine, and a rear seal on the tranny.
All is fixed now, just bought the car five weeks ago, other than the leaks, the car looks like dead new inside and out, with 67000, miles!
Not any other problems so far.
