- Rounded a cam lobe, not sure why just started tapping one week. (Pic)
- coolant hose busted
- tranny rebuilt ( wouldn't shift out of first)
- rear end slung grease out of the front seal
- auto crossmember cracked in half
- replaced 5 window motors already
- 02's went out
- water pump seal on timing cover leak oil like crazy

all that stuff happend at around 180k, all replaced and going for another 180k

 

My AIR check valve went bad on my 93 and allowed hot exhaust air back into the hoses which built up condensation in the winter. My AIR pump froze solid one night.

 

Bought the car Aug 2005 with 80,000 miles. Had a bad belt or pulley squeal (so I thought) replaced idler pulley, A/C compressor front bearing, belt, only to have the balancer FALL THE F*** OFF while under acceleration (less rotating mass, more horse power) . Found that the balancer bolt was missing. Replaced the crank hub and front seal 250 miles ago. Installed a set of 1.6 ratio LT4 roller rockers (great deal $50 new). Thats it so far.

 

Other than routine maintenance, the only thing that's gone bad in my car so far is the water pump.

 

Lets see, wore out the posi, my auto started slipping, I bent my SLP clutch disk, My opti took a ****, I went through 2 sets of 02's, my elite spark plug wires were arking, I instantly fouled a brand new set of TR55's, I still have no idea why, My oil pan gasket was leaking, my rear main seal was leaking... Thats all that I can think of off the top of my head. Oh yeah, of course the power window motors.

 

Intake manifold oil leak, driver side window motor died, and stock waterpump died. Other than that nothing.

 

intake manifold leak, oil pan leak, bad maf, o2's went bad, spark plugs went bad, bad belt tensioner, bad alternator, thermostat gasket,fuel filter, had to fix ac, **** i could go on forever and ive only owned this car for 6 months

 

Power window motors, waterpump, o2 sensors, a t 56, headgaskets, 2 clutches, 1 ring and pinion, 1 opti, and I exploded 2 opti rotors so far... Probably more that i cant remember

 

On my '97, nothing. She only has 55k though.

My '94 had 170k when I sold it. Bought at 145. By that time:

Optispark, waterpump, ICM, 4L60E, various coolant hoses, rear driver's side brakes burned up extraordinarily fast and trashed a rotor. That's about it.

 

well this thread made me feel a LOT better... bought the car 2 years ago with 123k on it.. no problems for 6 months, then blew the trans. then the radiator started leaking, (not sure if it was caused in the incedent at the shop or not) then somehow the ECTS got screwed up replacin the radiator, then a few weeks later waterpump.. opti's been showin signs for months now.. intake oil leak, window motor, and the transmission.. again.. got a fix for that this time though .. and everything else too! cant wait =D oh yeah and even with all the downtime in shops the car still has 151k miles on it now lmao (sat in the shop from dec 20th-aug28 dec-may trans may-aug paint.. ';..;') and dont get me started on all the times ive had it at the exhuast shops.. im thinkin open headers for awhile with the new motor lol

 

Hmm.... where to begin. First broken item was a tranny mount. Since then I've been through:1 intake elbow, 7 coils, 2 icms, 5 optis, 1 pcm, 3 sets of plugs and wires, 1 window motor, 1 coolant level sensor, 1 waterpump, 1 driver's side window switch, 1 retained accessory power module, lots of vacuum leaks, lots and lots of rear tires, 1 convertible top, 1 intake manifold gasket set, and I think that's about it at the moment, other than the currently clogged cat.

 

In 6 years and about 100,000 miles I've gone through
2 opti's, 2 waterpumps, a PCM, 3 4l60 rebuilds (finally got a CPT trans) heater hose, radiator, condenser, AC compressor, 2 O2 sensors, 2 cats(now replaced with Random bullets), MAP sensor, 2 trans mounts, and neutral safety came loose on steering column
which was an easy fix to do without replacing it.

 

waterpump, timing chain which bent 2 pushrods and 3 valves, one 4L60, one T-56,map sensor, and all the usual stuff like rear tires and brake rotors

 

hmmm...where to begin. I've replaced 1 02 sensor, radiator hoses, T-stat, i have a cracked radiator end cap(coming out in the next couple of weeks for cam swap, will be fixed then). Replaced Opti @ 102k currently have 112k. new plug wires, plugs, various sensors, Rebuilt tranny---wouldn't go into 5th. tranny and T/A mounts, Brakes...and my fave the Stupid egr purge valve open. Good thing i'm getting that programmed out, and i think my intake is leaking a little. All these will be fixed in the next month...
