it is ok, please keep typing, i for one am enjoying this, lmao!!!
i too have a small fortune under the hood of my car, yeah it is setup for spray, and is still very streetable, but i never dreamt of that kind of rwhp in a street car! and believe me my car pulls pretty damn hard with 440 rwhp, even spinning 26" et's thru first, most of second and part of third gear with about 16psi in them around town!

i am hoping for over 470 rwhp(trying to be conservative) this year, but who knows. 440rwhp got me down the track at 11.01 this year. i will have my raceweight at least 100#'s lighter and at least 30 more rwhp. is it spring yet....i hope not i have to drop in a motor in about a week

Hey Taner, wheres that 100# comin from, just curious, and is the extra punch from the DFI? Or did the motor get something new, besides freshening?

dfi, port matched heads/intake, which is now an lt4 intake, i peformed weld and porting on the intake as well. it will be assembled correctly this time! correct length pushrods, etc...
weight is coming from places you can't see
well some of it you can, lol! but only if the hood is open.

Jon,

i like your predictions

Jim,

dunno about his motor but mine is together, on the road, i have got 120 miles or so on it, gotta seat those rings, just changed the oil, and ready for some more miles...did i mention it is an ANIMAL! god i love this ****! sorry for the light use of profanity

goes on the dyno in 2 weekends, just enough time to properly break in the motor, weather pending! did some inital scanning with the help of WikidTA, thanks Daren!!!!!!! and dfi shows a/f at around 12.9 under medium throttle, it is at 14.4-14.6 at idle. i have yet to install the correct bellow and 4 inch adaptor where the maf used to sit, lol!!!! that is my current bottleneck.

thank you very much Marshall i honestly can't believe i am driving it, 6 weekes ago it was a shell on wheels with a wiring harness, now i am in it, well gotta go for a drive catch ya later.

Umm, there's more powerful cars than that on here We're building the motor for one of them right now at my shop.. Should be at the spring break shootout.

can't tel you where..it's a secret, lol! as far as hope and dreams..well i will uncap the exhaust, and have DR's on the back. car does feel strong! i am hoping for an extra 40 RWHP over last year. it made 440 rwhp last year with slicks on and full exhaust, and that was at 6400rpm. i spoke with comp, my cam makes power to about 6800-7000rpm. hmmm no wonder on spray at the top of 4th the car screamed as i trapped about 6650 rpm. Now with the jesel's on top, no fear of a weak valve train.
main differences will be dfi gen 6, fully ported and welded intake, port matched heads, little things like, windage tray, sfi balancer, 55 # injectors (not that the injectors will make a big difference) oil bypass blocked off, oil restrictors, new higher flow cold air(ie. no maf), replacement of the abortion of a Y pipe that was hack welded up 3 years ago. you really couldn't call it a y pipe, it is more of an h pipe, but in lower case like this.. h. i hope to get a new one custom made next saturday.

1000hp, na! wow! love to see that car run!

oh, ok a power adder car, no problem. is that rwhp or fwhp?
it takes over 840 rwhp to go low 9's, we'll see what happens. estimated 780rwhp last year to go as fast as i did. fingers are crossed!

Amazing.... this whole thread starts with a claim that his engine will make 660rwHP NA. People are "dubious". Now we're on page 8 of the thread, and people are throwing out 1,000+HP numbers, and its doubtful whether they ever read the original post or have any idea what the thread it about...
