its a m6, and i guess for those who asked when talking about the cage, its a ttop.

I am going to guess 360RWHP and the builder blames it on tuning

Drew, I understand you wanting to remain loyal to the engine builder and whatnot, but take a little bit of advice...

Find out exactly what the guy is supposed to be building you and exactly what kind of numbers he is promising out of it. Record this information and post it up here so some of these guys (who will forget more about engines than most of us will ever know) can analyze it a bit and find out what the deal is. If he is promising you some outrageous amount of HP, you need to take your money away and go somewhere else, because all he's going to do is rob you blind and hand you a crap motor that will have trouble pulling 12's. Builder loyalty is one thing, but your talking about thousands of dollars of your money, are you really willing to **** that away because you just happen to like the guy a little? Especially since other much more knowledgeable people than you are telling you what he is promising just can't happen? Think about it...

Just curious... why do you choose to demean "old" people?

Ok, I live at 5,600 feet elevation here in New Mexico. Just built a 12.5.1 compression 396 Solid roller. Has AFR 210's on it flowing 310 cfm max. Just to give this guy an idea. Uncorrected I made 354rwhp, Corrected was 456. This was done through a Currie 9" and 28" slicks. So that does take away alittle HP. I spent top dollar on everything and this is what I got. I bet you don't even break 320rwhp at your elevation. 600 at the tire is not gonna happen with out some sort of forced induction. Sorry you'll be dissapointed.

LT4 heads aren't even in the equation especially with a hydraulic roller.....most guys with solid roller cams and AFR Lt4 heads, not gm castings, usually hit around 500rwhp n/a at sea level

I think you are missing the point here. You think you will hit over 700 flywheel hp with LT4 castings. You don't even know what castings he plans to use, gotta be something on the market, I doubt that hes pouring his own castings.

Once again.......

Heads are where you make power. Nascar motors make 700 hp using 8500rpms and SB2.2 heads. SB2.2 heads are to the most superb 23* degree casting as a viper is to a pinto.

And yes, please post dyno results when you are done.

How much power do you guys think the slicks take? As I'v always dynoed on slicks and have never really had big numbers.

I don't know, but I can tell you that I've seen 10 second cars dyno 370 rwhp and 9 second cars dyno 470 rwhp through loose converters and slicks, while some 10 second cars dyno 700+ rwhp on radials with a 6 speed.

SQUINN, what do you dyno at?

Spec's are 250/256@.050 lift is 644/614 on a 112ls. I'm changing somethings around though. I was exspecting 500rwhp. If i hit 480 I'll be happy.

anyways, this is the last post here until dyno time. we will see what goes on. ill state one last time, ill be happy with 520, even 500. then corrected when i go back. if its less ill still post.

in regard to getting 320, i seriously doubt it. i have 320 now, that was dynoed. thats with full ex, headers, MAF, and a few other small things. no way am i going to build the motor for no gain.

i know the heads are where the power is at. its not all about flow either, its more about volocity.
