what to do for new fuel pump?

Ive decided that i need to get a new fuel pump and was wondering what i should do. Do i really need the whole kit from racetronix that is $250...i think that is kinda high. I dont really mind sodering wires or doing mild custimization. Ive seen new walbro 255 pumps on ebay for 80-90 bucks...would one of the be good enough?

From what I have seen the race tronix pump is a direct replacement for our cars. Some having to modify the bucket slightly. Casper makes the upgraded wire harness and sells at speed inc. (www.ls1speed.com) for around $70 or so. Get the pump, you could always buy the harness later.

The pump assembly (RX-FLT1-FPA) can be bought by itself for $159.99 from Thunder Racing and a few other dealers. If you plan on making more than 500RWHP we recommend that you buy the entire system.

Then special order a 190L/Hr version.
Don't hack the fuel bucket if possible because once you do there is no going back!
