i would just go stroker. you will not see a big enough gain with boost unless you go absolutly mad with it. For instance, an 8# boost on a strong 350 bottom end and a healty cam could push 5-550 HP at the flywheel. why not build a 383 and go high CR for 600-660 and spray?

How strong of a bottom end are you talking about? For a low compression, forged bottom end, 8 PSI is almost nothing. You could easily turn the boost up to 14-15 PSI if everything is in good condition and see well over 550 hp. 600+ on a stroker will require N2O unless you get crazy with your compression and cam selection. Plus, you don't have to keep refilling bottles for a supercharger to work.

ive seen quite a few 383's push 660+ off the bottle. ~12.5 CR will do it if you work it right. you dont need an insane cam, the heads are more important.

All this talk of money and horsepower is making my head spin! But, in all seriousness, a good strong stroker built correctly should have no problem pushing 450rwhp. I would love to see one of those babies in my car, however, college and mods do not go hand in hand!

A 660+hp NA LT1? I'd be curious what the specs of that motor were.
