Exclamation Weird cruise control problem

The car has done this for a while, but has being consistant now.

The cruise control works, just not the way it should.

Normally, to set the cruise you simply have the switch to on (duh), the push the set/decelerate button on the side of the stalk. But that doesn't do anything when I do it.

If I hold over the resume/accelerate switch for about 2 seconds, THAT sets the cruise control. The button for decelerating works just fine, as done the acceleration button. Just oddly, the set button won't set the cruise.

Guess this really isn't a problem, since the cruise does work. Just kinda annoying. Any ideas?

I discovered on my drive to work this morning, you have to push the set button just once before holding down the resume button for the cruise to activate. Otherwise, holding down resume won't activate the cruise control. Weird.

Pretty sure my 94 is the same way.
I don't use it much, but I'll check that later to verify.

Mine used to not be that way, used to just set the cruise when you hit the set button. Damn odd problems.
