I knew you were going to say that.....

It is the second opti that i have put in the car. It was not a new one however it was out of a 95 car that had been wrecked. The problem is the same (old opti to new opti)

have you checked the battery connections or the hot wire to the starter?

yes...that is not the problem, the car cranks but will not fire

sounds like possible opti problem to me. if you lose the low resolution pulse from the opti.. that will shut down the injectors and fuel pump. sometimes this happens just after start-up so the car dies after a sec or 2 and other times it happens right on start-up so the motor only cranks. maybe you have a bad connection to the opti??

Have you tried your cable in someone else's car to make sure that the cable is good?

If the wiring is run correctly for a 1995, and the cable is good, then I don't know what to tell you...

I do wish you the best of luck getting it going though.

Thanks for the info I'll check that......


As for being wired correctly i believe it is....

Do you know if the BCM is the same for v6 and v8 cars?

Can you scan the car ?
Like view the sensors when its running (Like What AutoTap do to OBDII)
Is Airbags,ABS, and Cruise Control Module working ok ?

That mean you have hardware handshake with your PCM and Tech2.
That mean two things
1. Bad connector (Under the das)
2. Missing Wires!
Both are easy to confirm.

I have already checked all of that....

Does anybody know if the bcm has anything to do with it?
