Turning NonVented to a Vented

I dont know if this has been posted here before, but i bet there are some people who have never seen this. Has anyone here tried it. Was it worth the time. This seems perfect for me since i dont want to change out my cam. Im just kinda worried i will ruin a brand new non vented opti.
NonVented Upgrade

Peace
Omar

I've vented a couple of the 94 opti's and they work fine. I have one on my 385. Just get the factory vacuum harness, I think I paid $27 for it, It makes it a lot easier to hook up.

The article has been linked and discussed here periodically since it appeared in CORVETTE FEVER several years ago. People have done it... just never heard any feedback on how well it worked.

It doesn't hurt it to put holes in the side, I used a dremel and sealed the fittings up with epoxy (JB Weld). Just take your time and you shouldn't have any problems. I pulled off one of the DIY vented opti's I did after about 5000 miles and took it apart and it looked brand new. If you take apart the non-vented ones after being on the motor they almost always are full of rust.
