tune question

Im sure this has been discussed a million times before, so I appologize in advance. But what is the advantage to going to OBDI in an OBDII car. Im gonna buy the programmed ECU from madz28, and get the EGR, AIR, rear O2s, and CAGS deleted, so is there still an advantage or should I just stick with the OBDII?

Thanks in advance,
Tyler

Re: tune question

AFAIK, the only major advantage is that for an A4 there are often problems getting the tranny to shift right if a high stall converter is installed. If you do a search in "Computer Diagnostics and Programming" you will find a number of discussions related to this.

Re: tune question

Some other advantages would include:
OBDI will set less codes and be more forgiving when modifying your car
Tuning and datalogging software is cheaper
OBDI does not have a crank or rear 02 sensors
OBDI will usually yield a little more power
