Forget the "shipping prices" crap. Look at the total "at the door" price of your order. It's normally about as low as it gets.

I will say that you must know exactly what you want to order. You won't get any help from them. But if you got a notebook full of part numbers and want a decent overall price then GMPartsDirect ain't bad.

I still can't believe people get riled up about the "shipping cost". Can't you people add up totals?
I can add and Dal and Jason are usually cheaper (totals) every time (sometimes way cheaper). Plus, you can actually talk to them.

You're right... There are other places (hopefully supporting vendors) that are much better to deal with if you need a more personal, helpful touch. And they may be a bit cheaper to boot. But that isn't my point.

I just wanted people to know that GMPartsDirect is not "ripping people off" on shipping prices. They just present their prices poorly. Apparently many people would like to have the "total" price on the part itself and get "free" shipping. I guess it makes them feel better. Even though the true "to the door" price is identical.

It's not a matter of "presenting their prices poorly"..... its a matter of being deliberately misleading. I have NEVER found the total cost (your "price to the door") of gmpartsdirect to be "identical"..... they are ALWAYS higher when you add (yes, some of us actually know how to do that ) the cost of the part plus shipping. No one's asking for "free" shipping.... just an UP FRONT provision of the true part and shipping cost.

Re: Trying to get parts on GMPARTSDIRECT

I use gmpartsdirect.com as a reference... Print their page and bring it to my local dealership, asking for the part.. And usually, they will cut the cost alittle when seeing what gmpartsdirect.com is selling it at... No shipping cost, and usually get it the next day, if not that afternoon....

No need to be a smart ***. I wasn't sure you were being sarcastic or not in your original post.
