Exclamation Trick Flow Elbow & Holley Air Foil

So the FedEx guy just dropped off my new Trickflow Intake Elbow and Holley Air Foil for my 94 Z. They appear to be incompatible, as the foil won't fit into the elbow. Can anyone confirm this?

Dave

What airfoil do you have? Most of them are small pieces of metal that bolt between the blade holes, and do not project beyond the edge of the throttle body. They shouldn't interfere with the elbow.

I have seen one (actually used to own one) that is intended for Corvette LT1's, and is a large molded plastic piece that has a full surround, similar in diameter to the outside of the throttle body. That one would interfere with the Trick Flow elbow. Is that the type airfoil that you have?

Question

Serious? Uh-huh. If it is an obvious error on my part, my apologies. I assumed that the air foil would work....given that Holley generally puts out a quality product. Trick-Flow says that the elbow will work with SLP style air foils for my model year.....so I am just asking if I missed something??

Thumbs up

Looks like I have the Vette foil. Full surround that would in fact not fit inside the Trick-Flow. Thank you for the response

OK... did a "search". The Holley is a bit extreme - first time I've ever seen one:

OK, my appologies. I just wasn't sure if it was a joke or an actual question. And I guess its more my fault, as I forgot about the air foils that Fred mentioned.

The one I had was even different than that. I don't know who made it, got it from a shop on Long Island (NY) called Corvette Connection, in 1995. I've never seen the Holley before:
