Chevy should make the corvette affordable till the camaro comes out!!!
I think that since GM isnt going to give us a nice V8 RWD car until 2008 or beyond, they should at least lower the price of the corvette(which will never happen) or make a corvette model that is somewhat within the pricerange that the camaro was in. I know its wishful thinking, but hey...Im a dreamer

An idea that's been tossed about here, but thankfully Chevrolet won't consider it. The Corvette should not be downgraded no matter what other product is/is not available from GM, for many reasons.

They basically have by default.
You can now pick up a 60K mile Vette 97-98 for about 20-26K... You can also build a new engine for it ala 427 etc.. for a bit more and smoke just about anything out there.
It may not be new, but its an affordable Vette.
