TPI intake for LT1
I saw this on the pace performance website.... Can this really work on an LT1 and will it flow better cause i feel the LT1 intake has to short of intake runners. http://paceperformance.com/index.asp...ion=PRODSEARCH

The LT1 makes surprisingly good torque despite the short intake runners. The aftermarket TPI intakes HAVE been adapted and if it were worthwhile it would catch on better than it has.
No need to reinvent this wheel, just choose duration, compression and heads correctly and they can be torque monsters.

The LT1 intake is already a great piece. It's been tried and tested, just use the search to bring up the stock vs. Edelbrock discussion. I wouldn't waste your money.

A complete "stock" TPI intake is of limited value. Yes, the L98 with longer runners made more low RPM torque than the LT1, but it ran out of breath at 4,500RPM.
The base you linked can also run with the Super Ram plenum..... add another $500+ or so for that piece. Lingenfelter did some work with the Super Ram, and seemed to feel it was only applicable to the A4 cars... not sure why.
After 15 years of LT1 history, I can't think of too many people who have gone to the Accel intakes. A buddy of mine had one.... the mount for the throttle body has to be angled down to allow the hood to close. He never did anything with it though.

Golen has CNC ported intakes available now also. As well as CNC ported heads.
I hear that the new CNC ported heads they are offering now are the most powerfull factory castings they have tested to date.
