Are these problems severe

I'm lookin to buy a V8 Fbody, and one of the possible cars is a 97 Camaro Z28. There are a few problems, the two serious being:

First of all, the owner put in new gears.. 3.43s. So here are the problems:

After putting in the gears, the U joint was damaged.

Also, above 85 mph, the drive shaft vibrates.

Are these SERIOUS problems or is this vibration normal after putting in new gears? Also, how much would it cost to replace the U joint?

Thanks

Absolutly not, U-joints are easy to change as is the drive shaft. What you may want to do if you buy this car is have the person you buy it from put in a new drive shaft and u-joints before you buy it. Sure both of these things are easy to change but why shoud you do it if hes the one selling it.
