Thank goodness for GM warranties.
Thank goodness for GM warranties.
I've been trying to get my black car up and running for a while now, and in the process of tuning the new motor kept getting a DTC 36. I troubleshot it down to the opti, which has less than 1K miles on it!!! BUT!!! I bought it last October, hello 12 month GM warranty replacement. 90 minutes later my opti it out of the car, and hopefully I'll find a dealership with one in stock tomorrow.
On a more serious note, knowing that the DTC 36 is a "Faulty High Resolution Pulse And/Or Extra Low Resolution Pulse detected" situation, I'm left wondering the following:
The service manual states that the car will run with this DTC. But if the computer uses the low res pulses to compute the timing, then if an extra is detected wouldn't that throw things off, possibly enough to cause a somewhat poor running condition???
