Well i bought a new summit opti spark and put it on my car...for the past week i have been trying to get the thing to run right, or even run at all anymore(witch wouldn't be as bad if i had the inverted torex, Had to use throttle body screw and vice grips). My old optispark with 140k on it still workerd i just wanted to get a new one because of a low rpm miss. after about 15-20 times putting the old one one and new one, then the old opti with new cap rotor vice versa all about 4 times each combo, i finnally went back to just the old one and old cap and rotor and it fired right back up. I am soooo pissed right now because all this time i have just been shooting myself in the foot. I am going to try and call summit to see if i can get my money back, at this point i would rather take a loss on the whole thing then have them send me another one. This thing is worthless. I filled the car up with dexcool 4 times and had to drain it along with the water pump till i finally got smart and just hooked everything up and let it run for 1-2 min b4 putting the water pump on and everything. I think im just going to go to the dealer tommorw and buy a brand new ac delco. I give up on playing games anymore.

What year is the car? Are you sure you indexed the Summit unit correctly to the cam/cam sprocket (depending on the year of your car)?

Why not add a "signature" with basic info about your car - year, model, tranny type, and any major mods?

I bought a new ac delco one and it started right up. I know i was putting it in right, i did it 15-20 times. Car runs great now i am sending the summit one back and cutting my losses if they dont take it back.
