Stupid plug wire question.....

Doing the OVC plug wire kit from elitesparkplugs.com
I have one wire that absolutely must touch a header. The plugs have the heat wraps.
Does this mean it wont burn up?

I may be able to order a single wire with a straight boot, this may fix the problem too.

Is there somthing I can put over the wire so it can sit against the header?

do Not let it touch the header no matter what. What kind of headers are you using? There is absolutely to way to make it work? You bought the wrong headers then! sorry. But, what headers are you using right now?

If it is on a header pipe, count on it burning.

Even with the heat protection sleeves, the wires will still melt.. trust me I know from past experience

Nuff said. I have the RK sport headers which are the same as the Arizona speed & marine. Its that horizontal primary that mkes it hard to work with the #6 plug wire. I am going to order a custom wire with a straight boot instead of the 90 degree boot. I think that will help me out.

I have RK Sport headers, and I hate them. They are the reason I dont have otvc wires yet. You absolutely can't sneak wires through there. Well, at least on mine there is no chance in hell. But, good luck to you. FYI I am swappin out my rk sports with pacesetter longtubes, so I can run otvc wires, and pick up some more torque with my stroker.

Re: Stupid plug wire question.....

My OVC work perfectly for all cylinders but #6. I just ordered a custom wire with a straight boot that will fix the problem.

You can sneak the rest of them in without any problems.

Are you going to sell your RK's and if so how much.
