ok so i got money to do either or. im trying to see what would be the best bang for my buck between forging my bottom end and slapping on an sts system on or a cc503 set up. my goal is to be able to beat the new 5.0 and the new camaros. and with the 503 set up i was wondering what the best gears and stall go with it. if i do the 503 i would port my heads and get lifters, rockers, springs, stall, headers, exhaust, cai. and trying to find out whats better 52mm tb or the 58mm?

 

what type of racing do u do roll or dig?

 

well i wanna take it to the tracks and run good numbers but also be able to drive on the street

 

What kind of track.... auto-X or 1/4-mile?

 

1/4 mile. im learnin more towards the cam build atm cuz i hear mixed thoughts about the rear mount turbo

 

For less than the cost of the STS turbo ($3,995 at Thunder Racing), you could get your LT1 heads ported, a matching cam, and make as much or more power - without the complications of the rear mounted turbo.

 

ya thats what i was thinking about. i think im gonna do the LE1 set up instead of the 503 it seems like a lot of bang for my buck
