Still dont get it...

Ill give a little background first I live in plano texas which has emissions and I want longtubes, is there anyone in the area who has passed with them.. the only responses as to why they wont pass ive gotten have said they remove the cats from the stock location, which doesnt explain why they dont pass emissions, ive done searches as well and the only thing ive seen is there are no provisions for the egr or smog pump but the smog pump is only on when you start up the engine and I also heard someone passing without the egr functioning... Any ideas??

It is not legal to move the cats from the stock location, therefore they will not pass a visual inspection. Nothing to do with the actual "emissions" themselves.

Are you sure everywhere has visual inspections? Guy at a reputable exhaust shop said as long as the tips extend beyond the body so they cat test it they dont care... could be wrong though he tried charging me $1000 for a y pipe and catback lol.
