Steering shaft is rubbing only when turning right

There's two upside down U shaped pieces of metal on my steering shaft that were interfering with my header. I just took a big pry bar and beat them in towards the shaft. No more problems.

Already done it .It seems to rub from the upper knuckle part.

My Kooks hit big time..if they were quality pieces they wouldn't rub Really pisses you off to pay that much and then fitment is an issue ay.
I ended up having to dent them in They would clear when cool, but once up to op temp they would rub very hard. I shaved the knuckle, adjusted the knuckle and moved the column as much as possible.

Im not that much disapointed because each car has its own problem.The fittement is perfect for everything else except the steering linkage.In normal driving even when they are hot its not rubbing.It only rub when i turn to the right with a little bit of throttle.Alot of people would accept this little disagreament but not me

I ve tried to move the steering column but it barely move so this option is dead.
I also tried to shave it more but my dremel let me down and die...

I will try a ls1 steering shaft to see if it fit better.

The LS1 shaft has NO rag joint.

Good call, that should only be done as a last resort.

Yeah i know now but are they smaller in size or they are the same?
