Steering shaft is rubbing only when turning right

Ok i know first ovall i ve used the search fonction a made a couple of modification on my steering shaft:

-I cut the half of the top bolt head that hold the top part of the linkage(near firewall)
-I cut the exceeding part of this bolt on the other side of the linkake
-I connect the linkage has far away has possible of the firewall to create some space
-I begin to shave it but not really much

Now everythings clear except when i turn right with a little throttle.By the way i got brand new poly motor mount.

What are my possibility:

-Shave the linkage again. But im affraid to weaken it...So how much can be taken.
-Is it possible to move the steering column maybe 3/8" toward the the driver side of the car.Or maybe 3/8" lower?

Thank you

They are of a different design. They are smaller and will probably clear.

Since i love the search fonction i ve search for it and people tend to have a problem with the steering wheel alignement, causing the steering to no be straigth when the wheel are straigth.

Is it true?Because i dont wanna have my wheel straigth and my steering wheel pointing left or right just like if i was turning

Thanks

Junk yard or look on the board for someone parting out a car.

You're sure your rack isn't loose since it only does it when you turn right?

Just out of curiosity, what is the steering shaft rubbing on? I couldn't find that in your original post. I could take a WAG and say its hitting your headers, but why guess?

loosen the three bolts that secure the steering column to the firewall and have a buddy nudge the shaft with a prybar.. gave me 1/4 of an inch.

Shave it more it will be fine. If you don't feel comfortable with that dent the headers.

First i would like to say that the next comment is not a bashing one ok

If my headers would have been some basic pacesetter i would have probably dent it.

but...

I got Kooks headers and there is no way in the world that i would dent/hammer/crush or scratch those quality pieces
