Yeah that's what I was thinking too.....

I have it all powder coated and I just have to put some fittings on it but I will have some offical pics ready soon, just gotta figure out how to post them on my site. Hopefully tonight maybe tomorrow.

Might just have to start a new thread then.

Well if you don't figure it out, I've got an unlimited bandwidth direct-link host. All the pics you need hosted, I can handle.

Since I was going to try this conversion myself, maybe it's better as metioned to have a expert do it for me. Don't want to mess anything up on this motor. How much would I be looking at here?
I'm ready to be the second one to do this for a good price of course. Heads are off(afr210's) I'd like to talk to you about this and am ready to do it now. I hope this gets someones attention.

Neal-
Our intake will be tested in the next few days, I am in the process of putting the test car together for the big Impala meet in Vegas this coming week, last minute mods are great eh?
you would be looking at 1800.00 plus a core that you or I can supply. I also have some mods I would like to incorporate into the next piece, so you would be getting even better ideas. I am allways trying to out do myself!

Bryan,

PNYKILR has been talking about single plane intakes if you check out his threads in LT1 Tech and Advanced tech. A converted single plane is most likely what he is looking at.

BTW I never hijacked a thread or left my opinion on a Race Prep thread even though there have been some nice ones out there, so I just ask for a little respect back. I understand this is a discussion on intakes, but the one I designed is not in the same ball park in application and dimensions in comparison to yours and Steve's LTX intake. I'm sure you guys would get more views and interest if you had your own thread anyways.

PNYKILR,

Ken should have his BRE Custom Cam and Valvetrain, Blackstone LT1 heads and BRE Pro Ram for testing next week. I'm pretty sure with the long runners and big plenum we will make some good numbers.

I am axiously awaiting seeing this intake come full circle. I am sitting up at 3:18am reading this thread. I'll keep checking back for updates. Thanks for all the information you have provided and keep up the good work. Its nice to see that someone is still R&Ding the LT1/LT4 engines these days.

by the way, best color choice for the intake

If it does fit, it would be worse than a LT1 intake. It uses a "poppet" injector harness and the injectors in it (20lb) are NOT upgradable. They top out at around 330RWHP in the vortecs before they start leaning out like crazy.

Thanks for the quik response via e-mail brent. And, yes a converted single plain is what I was referring about. The Victor EFI is what I was going to order. I'm sure glad I caught this thread. Brent, when you get a chance, shoot me a number via e-mail so I can call and talk to you a little more about this.

Bret-
I am sorry if I offended anyone I had no intention, I simply saw someone asking about an intake and replied, I am EXTREMELY busy lately, so I did not read all the posts before the one I replied to, again, my apoligies....

Hofstadter's Law applies to manifold development also.

Hofstadter's law: "It always takes longer than you expect, even when you take into account Hofstadter's law".

Thumbs up

Yeah, Hofstadter's Law applies to alot of things, not just programming.

The Ninety-Ninety Rule of Project Scheduling also applies real well.....
The first ninety percent of the task takes ninety percent of the time, and the last ten percent takes the other ninety percent.
and we'll add Peer's Law,
The solution to a problem changes the problem.
