Shortblock options for turbo
Shortblock options for turbo
well im going to be fabbing a turbo kit for my lt1.. im looking for shortblock options.. this is a street car and NEVER goes to the track.. heres what im thinking of
i want it to rev high so i was kinda thinking along the lines of a forged 327 or 355.. however i want to get the most RELIABLE power out of it that i can what would the advantages and disadvantages be of a smaller motor like the 327 or 355 against something like a 377 or 383 stroker with the turbo on it? keep in mind this motor has to hit pretty high speeds and i dont want lag

Re: Shortblock options for turbo
Why in the world would you want to rev a street turbo high? Revs are what kills parts, the whole point of forced induction for a street setup is that you can make big hp without high revs (or a huge cam, etc.). It will sure last a lot longer that way and be somewhat cheaper to build, to boot.
