Normally when you get some serious bearing wear or the likes, you get a greyish coat of nastiness on things. So far your stuff looks good, but i would still be a little concerned personally.
May want to run a flush through the engine (seafoam in oil), and immediatley drain it after 5 min or so of running. That should grab any crap and get it out of there. Cant hurt. Then just keep a watchful eye out on your next change.

Ok I did a search and came upon this thread.
I changed my oil today before storing the car for winter and as I pulled the plug (magnetic) I noticed that there was a coat of greyish stuff that people seem to be talking about as well as 3-4 metal shavings (1/8 of an inch in length) on the plug. It's been about 1200 miles since the head/cam swap. The oil pressure has always been and is still very good (55 psi cold start, 30 psi warm idle)
About 300 miles after the swap, I changed the castrol 10w40 non-syn that my mechanic put in (his recommendation) for some mobil 1 10w30 and K&N filter that I thought would be better. When I did change it the first time, there was nothing on my plug. Although keep in mind I did baby it the first few hundred miles and my car has seen track time and dyno time after that.
Is it normal?
