SeS light came on it read transmission temp sensor.
Please help. I had a ses come on in my 95 automatic
Z28 transmission temp sensor? Is there a such sensor I tried to look it up on line it comes back as coolant temp sensor. I know where these are but i dont want to change them if its not them. Thank you

In the meantime, yes, there is a transmission fluid temp sensor inside the transmission. It is part of the transmission fluid pressure switch assembly. But until you answer Shoebox's question on the exact numerical DTC, it's very difficult to help you.

We’re you possibly using an OBD-2 scanner? If so, that’s a common mistake, but your 1995 is OBD-1 with a 16-pin OBD-2 “style” DLC connects. Means you need an OBD-1 scanner with a 12-pin to 16-pin adapter, or a 16-pin cable.
