running rough after cam swap???
did a cc305 cam swap on my 93 z28 awhile back and since its not really drove i just crank it every now and then. But anyways since the swap it has been acting like its not getting gas( I THINK). it always fires straight up the first time but sometimes when i crank it twice i have to tap the gas pedal. if i put it in gear and start to give it a small amount of pedal, the it hesitates and sometimes pop i think from intake. but this only happens during lower rpms. it revs up and drive fine above about 2000 rpms. im thinking that the timing may be off but not sure. PLease help me figure this out so i can start driving it.
which of the following do yall think may be causing the problems: timing chain not lined up right, opti not lined up right, or the rockers set wrong?
also i cranked it last night and where the egr tubes were welded closed i could see blue(sparks?) and somes plug wires i could see the spark running thur them, but the car does not feel like its missing.

The post is a bit confusing - might want to clarify. You indicate "its not really drove i just crank it every now and then", but then you say "it revs up and drive fine above about 2000 rpms.".
Also confusing when you indicate "it always fires straight up the first time ".... but then you add "but sometimes when i crank it twice i have to tap the gas pedal."
Your reference to the sparks at the "EGR tubes" would appear to mean the AIR connections. If you see sparking on the headers and along the plug wires, it would explain the "pop I think from the intake". I'd get rid of the sparking, before assuming you have a problem with the timing chain, or Opti indexing. Sort out one problem at a time.

sorry about the confusion. what i meant is that every so often i will crank it up and let it idle and sometimes i will drive it down the dirt roads. when i do drive it sometimes it will stall and in order to crank it, i have to give it some gas. the plug wires have always arced even brand new msd wires and i just seen that i have exhaust leak where the tubes were welded closed on the headers. also i am getting codes 12 and 15 when i scan it.
Yes. The computer needs to know the coolant temperature, so it can set the cold start enriched air/fuel ratio.
The "12" code just tells you the ECM has entered diagnostic mode.
