Royal purple XPR 0-30 lt1 oil.

Just bought this stuff thinking it was a nice upgrade, i pour 2 bottles into the engine, the first bottle i cut at the bottom for a funnel. As im doing this and its open i noticed deposits all over the place in a baby **** color. WTF is this im thinking? I called the support number but its to late, i have to use the rest to get back into town but now im worried, ive never seen anything like this in oil, nor was it in the hps i used last time. Is it because of temp? Or just bad batch? Ideas???

Sounds like the oil may have been contaminated with water. But check with the manufacturer. Take a photo to send them. Could possibly be an additive that solidified due to extreme cold and settled out, but even that wouldn’t seem to be acceptable.

Got a hold of tech, its the amount of phosphorus and zinc that separated, they said just shake it back up and pour away, once it mixes under heat its all good. Ive never seen an oil with that much mineral additive, incredible.
