could a ripped intake elbow cause a high end backfire? going to change the elbow tonight. but i have had a high rpm backfire around 5,500. I know it's not a opti problem cause i have deltec and new plugs and wires.

 

A ripped elbow will cause the car to run rich. So it is possible that it could backfire.

 

yes....i had that happen a long time ago with my stock rubber elbow....

I replaced it with a aluminium elbow I ordered from vortec .....

 

sweet just making sure. cause other wise after the deltec install it was running great. just up top i had acouple pops. thanks guys
