reocurring problem

last year i remember having this problem all the time and now its done it a few times lately. today it was the worst ive seen it. when im slowing down or stopped the car will start bucking some and rpm's will drop. lights will dim some. and u can smell all this unburnt fuel really bad.

normally if this happens and u give it a shot of gas then the car starts acting normal again. today it was constant for about 5 mins. when i get up to speed car seems to work fine.

so im thinking a cylinder is missing and not igniting all the fuel would this seem like a logical answer?

no ses light or anything comes on even though the other night the ses light did come on for 3 mins but car was working perfect.
im getting a cable soon to get it scanned anyway.

would any sensors cause this? plug or plug wire or something else? maybe opti even?

i find car runs rich as it is maybe o2 problem?
does it not triggering a ses light eliminate certain things as the problem? i would think if its any sensors it would trigger the ses.

also whether this is related to problem or not when i change oil i do smell gas in it. so would it be possible a cylinder is not igniting fuel and some is getting into oil somehow?

would a bad injector cause a problem like this or a leaking one?

i would really appreciate all the help cause i need to get these problems taken care of.

My guess is that if you were looking at the dash volt meter, it was dipping into the red when you experienced the problem. Sounds like you have a battery charging problem at low RPM.

Get it scanned... the code is stored.

no battery voltage needle doesn't move at all. ses only came on once the other day when car was working fine. ses has never come on when i have had the low rpm stumble.
