Ever driven a 4x4 in pretty deep snow? Not having a sway bar makes the car kinda drive like that, it follows the ruts in the road pretty bad.

I had mine out for about 3 years, put it back in to keep the front end tied down a little better, and to keep the front from not pretzling up too bad when I get drag springs/shocks.

I did it for a week, it handled worse than my lifted jeep. Oh and I gained NOTHING off the line, my 60' still sucked. I would never do it again, just cause you have to take turns like a grandma.

LOL...Maybe your car isn't making enough power to use the extra traction. With the sway bar removal being my ONLY suspension mod, I pull 1.67 60 ft. times. With the stock motor I went from a 2.2 60 ft. to a 1.9 60 ft. with the removal being the ONLY mod!

I'm also far from "taking turns like a grandma"...Even with the 3 1/2" wide skinnies, and M/T wrinklewalls.

I always heard that it was bad because of chassis flex....but maybe that's fixed with subframe connectors?

I got a 97 camaroi and I was thinking about buying one of these because my car doesn't have one. I see you guys saying bad things about it, is it better not to get one? I really have no need for it, i Just wanted one. I just drive to home, school, friends, and work and thats it.

Re: Remove the front sway bar, yes or no

Took mine off for about a year and just reinstalled it last week with new Energy Suspension endlinks. It was neat at first, especially when my frt. shocks were worn, the frt. end would lift nicely, but it corned like a semi. Then when I installed my SLP take-off shocks, it barely lifted anymore and I liked the handling improvement, so I reinstalled the swaybar to further increase the newfound handling. I don't think it's worth it on a mostly stock daily driver like mine. If you're out for every single 10th you can gain, then do it, otherwise taking on/off ramps AT the speedlimit sucks and I don't think I gained crap at the track.
