Anyway to program existing BCM (1996 car) to pellet on key?

The previous owner of the car I bought put a brand new BCM in it a couple of years ago. The pellet on his key did not match the new BCM and the security is constantly flashing. Is there a way to re-program the BCM to recognize the key pellet as "the" pellet to use? Is there a way to read the BCM to see what pellet code is programmed inside it already?

Hmm.. there is a bypass but usually it requires finding the resistance of your key. Only way I can think of is to go buy a bunch of the resisters (only a certain number of possibilities) and do the Vats bypass testing each one until you find it. Good luck!
