Racetronics Fuel System Any Problems?
Racetronics Fuel System Any Problems?
Just about to install above system in my 95 Z28, I remember on
previous posts some guys mentioning problems with a Check valve?
Or are there any cautions you could pass on some of you may have
experienced?
Intend to access fuel tank thru the trunk, instead of the bottom.
95 Z28 LT1 A4 : Red w/ Black Ttop: 3:83, full race suspension etc.
too much to list.

Re: Racetronics Fuel System Any Problems?
I didn't have any problems at all. Just make sure you keep the little rubber flapper/valve thats in the bottom of the bucket between the pump inlet and the bottom of the bucket, also make sure the flex hose is securely attached to the pump outlet and the quick disconnect. Fairly straight forward install following the directions.
You may also have to cut out 2 small bumps/ribs inside the bucket so the pump is perfectly aligned in the socket. Very easy to cut them out with some wire cutters if you don't have a dremmel tool. Some buckets may not require this, seems like there are two types used on '95s.
Take you time prying the top off the bucket too. I used a razor blade and went around the edge carefully to cut thru some of the factory glue on it, then it popped right off with the help of a flat head screwdriver.
