Yes, sorry Brent, and I think some of us, dont know if there is anyone else, owe them an apology for some of the harsh words we gave them, I know in my case I have nothing to complain about anymore so Im not going to hate them for what happened to others, they do have awesome prices. And most of the bad experiences were bad advice, they are just a retailer for parts, they are not ASE certified in HIPO auto, so talk to CC or whoever is the manufacturer for advice then order it from them since you cant beat their prices.

Wow. And once again, WOW.

One thing I never expected to see was a thread of this nature with Racenet (Internet Racer's Supply) as the subject. Until... I just got off the phone after letting it ring 20+ times trying to find out what's going on with my order and decided to search here to see if others were having the same problem.

I spent a few thousand dollars with Racenet a couple years ago. A Canton oil pan, a Cola forged crankshaft, a set of JE/SRP pistons, a CC306 cam, a set of Comp Cams pro-mag rockers, a set of Comp-Cams lifters, hardened pushrods, SLP headers and Y-pipe, and a few other things. And I never had any trouble or a moment of doubt that I'd get my products. Even when I asked to exchange one of the cams, they were very easy to deal with and there were no problems whatsoever. Until now...

I ordered another Canton oil pan from Racenet online on January 1st to bolt to a mock-up engine so I can have custom headers fabricated for my project. My credit card statement shows that I was billed on January 2nd. So far, no oil pan, and no attempt to let me know why.

I sent an e-mail on the 16th to "tech@racenet.net" asking if they could let me know what was going on with my order. No reply. I could understand if it was back ordered. The Canton pan was on back order the first time I bought one, but they let me know right away and said they would ship it out ASAP as soon as they received new stock. This time? No reply.

So I decided to call today and find out what's going on. Ring. Ring. Ring. Ring. Ring. OK, you get the picture. No answer. I'll try again later, but I am very, very, VERY disappointed at this point, and not only because I have no oil pan. You place a certain amount of faith and trust in a business when you decide to order from them, especially when you've had good luck in the past. It's never pleasant to have that trust violated.

Well I am going to chime in on racenets behalf... I have had nothing but good experiences with them. They always answered the phone right away no holding. The sales guy seemed knowledgable and easy to talk to. The Items were all recieved withen a reasonable amount of time. The one mistake that did happen which was out of 1 rockers 1 was accidentally 1.5 instead of 1.6 they quicky replaced.

Maybe you could give them a call and find out where my oil pan is, since you seem to have better luck finding someone at home.

Faith restored. Somewhat.

I called again and was going to let the phone ring 50 times just for amusement value, and was just counting ring number 21 when... I got a live voice that was helpful and very courteous.

They're going to check with Canton on the status of my pan, and said they'd give me a call back. I'll post any further updates as they develop.

It appears that the delay is on the part of Canton, who says the pan is en route to Racenet. They were very helpful in tracking down the status of my order, and I feel much better now.

I'm sorry that others are apparently having problems with items they've ordered. Racenet and Thunder Racing have long been two of my favorite F-body vendors, and except for the dropped communication this time around, I've never had a problem with either. Then again, I never had a problem with an order from Muscle Motors, and I spent thousands with them, too.

I too have ordered probably over $1000 worth of stuff from them in probably 7 or 8 different orders and never once had a problem. Shipped really quick and excellent customer service. In fact, I used to talk to the owner (Dennis) all the time when I'd call. Not sure if Dennis is an owner/operator anymore and involved as he used to be or ?

Seems odd with the wide range of experiences people have had.

Some of you guys know my deal over the summer. I waited for over 6 weeks for a cam that never came. It took over a month to get all my hardware for the cam swap. They suck, plain and simple. They never called me to let me know that comp cam had a shortage on cores. I called probably 20 times in 6 weeks. He finally called comp cam and f told me about the shortage. I immediately cancel my order and calld thunderracing. I ordered through them. I get a call a week later from thunder and the guy says they are out of cores. Howvevr, he says I can get a billet one made for 30 bucks more. I said do it, and got my cam a week later.

Thunderracing has decent customer service, IRS sucks! JB at IRS said I would have evrything in 2 weeks, but after 6 weeks I didnt have a cam.
