Apparently it arrived at Racenet last week and was shipped to me on Friday the 7th. I just tracked the package and according to UPS it's still in Texas (made it as far as Dallas) and not scheduled for delivery until the 13th. So much for getting it "right out to me". I've been waiting for over a month, you'd think they would have at least sent it 2 or 3-day, not ground.

Despite reasonably good communication after I contacted them and complained, this is very disappointing. It may or may not have been Canton's fault to some degree, but it was handled badly regardless, and I've been held up for over a month on one part of my project because of it. If they'd bothered to send it to me more quickly to make amends, I might have felt differently.

Sorry Racenet, no more business from me, and no more recommendations.

I am curious as to why they don't go by the name Internet Racer's Supply anymore.

I had an ASP underdrive pulley on order with them for TWO YEARS! Every time I called (about once a month) they stated that ASP had them on backorder. After I found out that another guy I know ordered one from them and got it right away I cancelled my order.

JimLaw, according to merchant laws they should not bill your card until your item has shipped.

Just an FYI.

For what its worth about a yr ago I ordered the wrong Cam pkg and stuff from IRS, and had it ez getting intouch with someone to get a REFUND. Things happen hell, remember the Comp Cam GP Angie at Thunder ran back in December I believe? Anyways the GP made the QTY but I needed mine quickly so Angie said on the phone, " I will charge you full price now and you will get your 10% discount on the bolts, cam, and gaskets ( all also on GP ) when the GP is met." Well it was met and despite about 5 emails and 10 calls I haven't gotten my refund. I know it is only $50 bucks but it is the principle. I have even asked for it to be a store credit so i could order a new oil pan, no reply........ It is the LUCK of the draw anywhere you go it seems. Based on all the legitimate claims made by everyone against them. I would NEVER order from IRS or whatever they are called now. I don't have enough money to be screwed over

Typically a mail order company would not if you called in your order, but when you're using an automated online ordering system, often it does charge the credit card when you hit the "authorization" button, as far as I know.

Actually, I already bought my "one million dollars" worth of parts from them, and then ended up selling almost all of the off-the-shelf parts I bought unused. In fact, I think the only part on my "current" 396 that came from IRS was the first Canton oil pan I bought from them.
