Guys there has been a development. I said in an earlier post that I would be swapping out to a tighter converter tonight, well as it happens I didn't change converters I changed gears to 4.10's because I found a tooth broken off my 4.88's. I don't like to make but one change at a time so it looks like I'll be giving it a go and see what the taller gears will do for me. I'll keep posting results.

It probably will but I didn't really have a choice, because last night was the only time that I had time to work on it, and besides I was planning on swapping gears later anyway. Now I still will probably need to swap converters, but that will be next week.

I talked to Hughes Performance today about what converter to use and they said definitely use the 3500. So I'm going to try and work my schedule so maybe I can put it in on friday night and be ready for testing saturday. I really think that converter will make alot of difference and allow the car to run much closer to it's potential, then maybe another gear swap to a 4.33 pro gear and it should be on the money. I'll keep everybody posted. Later.

I got the 3500 converter in tonight and took care of a few other problems that I found. I was really looking forward to putting up some good numbers tomorrow, but I guess it will have to wait, my track cancelled there TnT because of excessive rain. Oh well, when I get to the track I'll post my times.

The reason is because the 4500 flashed to 6000+ and even if the tq peak is 5000 it still way past it. The 3500 should flash between 4200-4500 allowing the motor to pull through the tq peak instead of flash past it, therefore allowing more power to get to the ground.

Here's the update guys. It looks like the gear change to 4.10 that I had to do because of my broken 4.88 killed my 60ft and made the new converter to tight. It still ran a 6.89 @ 99.5 mph, but only with a 1.50 60ft and in 88 deg weather. I just ordered a new set of 4.88's and if that still doesn't put me exactly where I want to be I may go to my 4000 converter, but from what I've seen with the right gear/converter the car should run 6.60's maybe even 6.50's @ 102 mph in decent air. I'll post the results of the gear change as soon as I get to the track.
