100mph in the 1/8th is flying, are you going to run at the 1/4 too or just 1/8th? Keep us updated on the times.

Great job, Randy. Once that 'verter/gear is worked out it will easily see 6.5's.

Nice job! Glad to see alot of LT1 combos coming together finally.

Especially with LT1 intakes instead of single planes.... not that there's anything wrong with single planes but y'know..

This is what I thought you were getting at. If you had a converter that flashed to 4500 that was made for your old combo, it will flash higher once you start making more power. Changing the weight of your car will also affect how high the converter will flash.

If you want a converter to flash to 4500 you should have a 4500 converter made for your power and weight setup.

I have found that with a th350 more stall is needed because of the taller first gear. With a 3200 stall in my cam only lt1 I could not get out of the 1.7 range. I had the converter restalled to 4000, and the car went in the 1.5s

I know and understand what you are saying and believe that my upcoming gear change will help thing alot, and if it's still not enough I can always go to my 4000 converter.

I got the new set of 4.88 gears in last night, but I won't be able to get to the track this weekend because of a death in the family. Hopefully next week I'll have sone new times to post.

I just saw this topic and am interested...Why is it called the "Dominator" 200cc H/I??

How radical is that cam also?

You'll have to call and ask either Ron or Phil about the name. All I know is that was waht was on my bill, and not to mention they make the car fly. The cam 24x/25x @0.050 with .600+ lift int/exh.

The stock GM PCM for right now, but as soon as I get the money I plan on getting either an Accel Gen 7 or a FAST XFI. Then I'll probably go with a larger cam and really spin the motor.

I'll be heading to the track Sat, the weather is supposed to be cold, so hopefully I can put up some good numbers.

Well guys more bad news, I busted the 2nd gear sprag in my tranny, but it did run a 6.83 @ 99.71 mph before it did. I also noticed that my slicks were worn completely out and to run the 83 with only a 1.51 60ft, so I felt OK about that. I believe I need just a little bit more converter so while I'm fixing the tranny I'll slip the other converter in and throw on a new set of slicks. Maybe this weekend everything will come together finally. I'll keep things posted.

Don't feel to bad for the tranny, it was a Hughes TH350 that had 5 1/2 yrs of racing abuse on it, so I think it did alright, and besides if I hadn't put that tighter converter in it it probably wouldn't have busted the sprag cause all the clutches and banbs look like new.
