Props to AI!!

I just wanted let everybody know how well satisfied I am with AI. Ron and Phil are great guys and produce an awesome head and intake pkg. Just to sum up my build, it's a 383 soild roller race only engine with AI's 200cc LT1 Dominator heads and intake. The motor makes insane power and ran 6.82 1/8 mile pass on it's very first pass with a converter that is horriblly to loose. Let me put it like this I need a converter to stall around 4200 and the one that's in the car will flash almost instantly to 6000. If it wasn't for the fact the motor makes so much TQ it wouldn't have run what it did, and this is with a tune from jeff creech of carolina auto masters, without the car making a pull on his dyno because of ignition problems when I was there. I believe once I get my tighter converter in it should easilly run 6.60's maybe even 6.50's and then get jeff to do are true dyno tune there's no telling I'll probably have to take some gear out of it to keep it off the bumper. I'll keep everybody posted on my progress. Later.

what brand converter are you running now?
I bought a 4500 and haven't run it yet but I have a feeling its going to be too loose.

Great times...

I have a Hughes 4500 now, but I'm putting a 3500 Hughes in tomorrow night, then we'll have to see. If it's still to much I may put my 4.10's back in it and see what that does.

The mph was 99.5, but with a tighter converter it should easily pickup 2-3 mph I would think.

Those are bad *** times. How is the car hooking?

One thing I love/hate about converters is a small change can lead to big differences in ET/MPH. Good luck getting your desired numbers. Shouldn't be too hard once all is figured out. Little changes here and there and the time will drop.

PS: I wish I went 100mph NA my first pass!

I had a 1.45 60ft, but my car has always hooked well and I knew it would handle the new power well.

Wow. If I could figure out how to get it that low with an M6 on our crappy tracks, I'd be a happy man. I look forward to the results of the stall change.

Me to!! Also, just to let you guys know this isn't any stripped down lightweight car either, raceweight is 3400lbs.

Very nice!!

I have a set of All Pro's on the way to AI for a little tweaking before they go on my Lt1.

Phil and Ron are great guys and always take the time to talk to you to get what you want.

Great to hear!

Phil just finished up a very similar set up for my new 383 in my SCCA road race car. I just dropped the motor in yesterday, and expect to get it dyno'd soon and ready to go for this season. I agree Phil and Ron are great guys to deal with, and Phil helped me tremendously since this was a rush order when I blew the motor on the old set up....lost a lifter and had it get into the timing chain.....YIKES!

AI has some good stuff!
