problem's with alt relo....

My madman bracket is flexing when the RPM's are up and the belt is walking off the crank. Anyone else have this problem and if so...how to fix it?

Does it just walk off or does it shred belts?

It flexes and the belt comes off and is never found again...

I have had mine for years and tried several different things. I'm dissapointed for what is cost and what it is....its a pc. of crap.

Jake...somebody has a more refined one with a rear brace he had for sale in the sale section.... I think it looks like it will work.

I think I will end up just going with a kit and a mini alt. Since I don't do any street driving..

when it flexes, the belt walks a couple grooves off the crank pulley then it shreds the belt.

Does anybody know of a way to fix it?

Do you know if it is really flex, that is causing your problem? I ask only because I had a similiar problem with a "performance" balancer. It stuck out too far so when my RPM would climb above 6000, my belts would shred instantly. I went thru several belts till I found the problem. I reinstalled my factory balancer and the problem was solved. I wouldn't assume it is straight or inline just because sh#t happens, and it happens all the time to me.

On mine when you rev it...you see the whole alt. twist towards the balancer
