is port matching worth while

i am thinking of port maching my heads and intake becuase there of please let me know what you guys think plus hp. gains

From what i've read around here - no. I've picked up that a good valve job would be better than simply gasket matching the heads. Then again, there are a couple of porters on this site so it may just be a marketing ploy?

I have no dyno numbers to support any of the above so take it lightly.

It helps flow, for obvious reasons. Opening the ports more gets the air in there, but it's in the head that the real porting is done. You can do the port matching yourself.

what kind of hp gains is it going to get( plus i have hot cam 1.6 rr 2600 stall lt headers cold air no cat no egr ) will this car hit the 12 with slicks and gears

I've read many articles on porting and they all said that gasket matching is pointless. Opening up the bowls is where the real flow gain occurs.
