Red face Poly Motor AND m6 tranny mounts when rebuilding? ---

It would just be common sense to replace all of the mounts right? Is polyurethane the way to go now aday?

This consists of 2 inserts for the engine and a torque arm bushing for the m6....is that it?

Thanks ---

There are the 2 motor mounts, tranny mount, and TA mount that will all be apart anyway. I just got mine back together with all poly mounts, and its a little rougher than I wanted. If I cant get used to it I may put in a rubber tranny mount and see if that helps.

It's the same as for the automatic.

Autozone should carry it.

Several of the supporting vendors carry them.

The ES tranny mounts are the same for the A4 and M6.

I replace the motor mounts when I did the headers and I replaced the tranny mount when I did the clutch about a month ago.

And the same for the entirety of the F-body lifespan beginning in 1967 says Prothane. Motor mounts and trans mount are a definite must IMO. Torque arm mount would be good to change too.

Great , thanks alot guys. I hear the poly mounts send a little more vibration...EXACTLY what I was looking for ( plus the LONG lifespan ) ---

You can tell the car vibrates if you focus on it...otherwise you cant really tell the difference besides the fact your motor isnt all over the engine bay and/or the tranny isnt about to fly up through the floor over big bumps.

go polly on everything! the performance gains far outway the vibration. With a big stroker I can barely feel the vibes. But, do the motor and tranny at the same time, or you may have problems! I have heard of people breakin crap cuz they only did one or the other. But, then you hear people like above who did it in stages. I guess it depends on how hard you drive your car. If you grandma it, then it wont matter. If you race everything that revs at you like me, go polly all the way!
