Plug wires?

k so ummm I bought this car @ 83,000 and some change. I have since changed out the plugs and plug wires (was in desperate need..still had original parts) but now so here I am 3 months later and engine starts backfireing. Pull the codes and it comes up with 4, MAP not responding, pressure low in bank 1 and 4, and multiple/random misfire. So I change the fuel filter, check the fuel pressure, and clear the codes...all go away EXCEPT 0300 (misfire) computer now tells us its 3 and 8, 3 tries to work 8 is dead. I hit a speed bump and the car started this whole thing..misfireing, guttless. So now that I am down to 0300 we look at the wires I had help the last time since it was my first time working on this car other than changing the thermostat so anyway..dude wrapped 1 wire around the steering arm, another thru the air pump..I could go on..anyway so I figure ok he killed my wires. I take them off and since I have to return this set to get the new set still under warranty I cant mark anything. So my question is....I know the firing order, but that doesnt help me when attaching the wires to the cap, and IS THERE AN EASIER WAY TO PUT THE PLUGS BACK IN???? I spent an hour getting them out and ripped 2 boots doing that! Oh and if you can think of anything else it could be???

Thanks,

Rachel

Each cylinder is marked on the opti. Look at the opti and you should see and number on it. That is where the plugs go.

Add that site to your favorites as you will probably look at it everytime you need to do something to your car. This site is also a great source of info, just learn how to use the search function.
